I graduated with a Baccalaureate of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 1988. I completed my Canadian Manipulative Physiotherapy examinations in 1997, which qualify me to manipulate both the peripheral and spinal joints. I have received my Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and am a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy.

Manipulative therapy takes a systematic, problem-solving approach to patient treatment that has a sound scientific and clinical basis. As a manual / manipulative therapist, I provide comprehensive conservative management for spinal, extremity and temporomandibular joint neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. A very thorough biomechanical assessment precedes and determines treatment.

I have 17 years of clinical experience in orthopaedics & sports injury assessment and treatment in the Ottawa area. I am privileged to be qualified to practice the Gunn technique of Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) as an adjunct to my manual therapy techniques. I feel that a manual / manipulative physiotherapist is a valuable asset to a health care team for both prevention of injury, and for treatment of injury.

I am a registered instructor with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and have been since completing the Intermediate Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 1993.

I have completed Designated Assessment Centre Evaluations, being an integral part of the examination process for those in motor vehicle accidents.

I am the owner of The Centre for Manual Physiotherapy. My clinic and the physiotherapists that work with me strive to provide the utmost in effective and efficient treatment, and we all maintain our high level of physiotherapy assessment and treatment through regular post-graduate educational courses.
