Pilates

Pilates is a comprehensive method of physical and mental conditioning that was developed in the 1920’s by German fitness pioneer Joseph Pilates. The method consists of a series of precise rhythmic, fluid movements achieved through a harmony of breath, concentration and control. It tones and strengthens muscles; improves posture, flexibility and balance; unites the body and mind; and creates a more streamlined shape. The main focus of the exercises is to maintain stability in the core muscles while strengthening the abs and lower back.
