Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance along with individuals who seek to regain and maintain a daily active lifestyle. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding injury prevention. As an Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapist and CSCS, this combination of knowledge and experience allows Ryan at The Centre for Manual Physiotherapy and P3 Physiotherapy to properly assess and treat existing musculoskeletal impairments & muscle imbalances, and provide safe and effective training programs tailored to the patients goals and existing impairments.

Individual Strength and conditioning programs can be geared towards:

  • Persons with goals to rehabilitate form a recent injury
  • Regain and maintain a healthy active lifestyle
  • Athletes looking for a Sport specific strength and conditioning training programs that will be demanding and enjoyable for the primary goal to optimizing athletic performance and injury prevention.

Once a personalized strength and conditioning programs has been constructed for the patient, exercises will be reviewed, practiced and further tailored as needed for the individual’s comfort, abilities and needs. Once comfortable, patients will be supplied with a hard copy of all personalized training programs, complete with pictures.
